Individual Membership

Individual members include individuals who are connected to any of the following areas: cultural heritage, performing and visual arts, emergency preparedness, disaster response and recovery. An individual membership in the NOPC grants access to workshops, events, and resources designed to support the ongoing preservation of the unique cultural heritage in the New Orleans region. As an individual member you can also join committees and work with a dedicated team of individuals committed to preparedness and recovery. Become a part of the first organization of its kind in New Orleans dedicated exclusively to sustaining our shared cultural heritage through emergency preparedness and disaster response!

Institutional Membership

Institutional membership offers organizations all of the benefits of Individual Membership, as well as the option to participate in a disaster response network called the New Orleans Alliance for Response (NOAfR)*. Members at this level include institutions, organizations, non-profits, small businesses, sole proprietorships, and agencies in the Greater New Orleans area with missions in any of the following areas: cultural heritage, performing and visual arts, emergency preparedness, and disaster response and recovery. The option to join the NOAfR as an institution involves signing a Mutual Aid Agreement. This provides 24/7 access to a disaster response supply cache and a network of other NOAfR members who offer mutual aid in a time of crisis. Each institution signing the MAA will:

  • Appoint one representative to be a point of contact and committee representative

  • Have NOPC dues in good standing to access supplies and mutual aid support

That’s it! You do not have to sign the MAA to join the NOPC at the institutional level, but we encourage you to consider the benefits and opt in.
